"In the choice to let go of your known way of being,

the whole world is revealed to your new eyes."
                                                                           - Danna Faulds from her poem "Allow."

Jess Frey (She/Her), is a 1,000-hour Kripalu Lead Staff and embodiment teacher, 500-hour Kripalu Ayurvedic Yoga Teacher, and Ayurvedic Bodyworker. She works with private clients, teaches group yoga, pranayama, and meditation classes, and leads experiential workshops at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health including all of the Kripalu Silent Retreats. She also facilitates teacher trainings in the Kripalu School of Yoga and Ayurveda (KSYA).

Jess is a dedicated student of the process of transformation and has been exploring a variety of wisdom traditions and holistic and integrative healing practices since 1998. In 2008 she became part of the volunteer-in-residence community at Kripalu. She continued to live and study at Kripalu for 6 years as an intern for KSYA and Kripalu Institute for Extraordinary Living.

I have a deep and wide understanding of how trauma impacts the mind, body, spirit, and heart. I also have a profound knowing of the possibilities that emerge from cultivating tools and healing practices to regulate and restore balance to the nervous system. My interest as a movement guide and retreat facilitator is to offer an embodied experience that respects each individual’s body and process. As a passionate student of life, I aim to co-create brave spaces for all people to feel seen, heard, and be fully themselves as healing happens in the context of relationship. Together through community connection and communal care we grow, learn, and heal. Together is how we find our way.

Leading from a place of depth, authenticity, presence, curiosity, and heart; my approach stems from self-inquiry-based somatic exploration and learning; focusing on trauma, post traumatic growth, addiction, embodied presence, and the quest of the True Self. I blend the art and science of yoga with the self-care and lifestyle approach of Ayurveda. I believe this combination offers a pathway to connection, embodiment, truth, and transformation.

Forever a student, always learning, exploring, and growing.

Thank you for being a part of the journey with me.
